Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of proven sales experience in Oman.
- Strong knowledge of the Oman building-materials market.
- Good understanding of suppliers, brands, products, and prevailing market prices.
- Existing network of contractors, construction companies, developers, and traders is highly preferred.
- Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of building-material brands and pricing.
- Ability to independently achieve sales targets.
- Valid Oman driving licence preferred.
- Arabic, English, Hindi, and/or Urdu communication skills will be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, construction companies, project managers, and retail customers across Oman.
- Generate new sales leads and develop existing customer accounts.
- Promote building materials including sanitary ware, plumbing materials, tiles, electrical items, hardware, cement products, and finishing materials.
- Identify sales opportunities through regular market and construction-site visits.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate prices, and close sales.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, purchase orders, deliveries, and payments.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Build and maintain a strong customer database.
- Monitor competitor pricing, market trends, and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams for product availability and delivery.
- Negotiate effectively while maintaining company margins.
- Follow up and collect outstanding customer payments.
- Identify upcoming construction projects and new business opportunities.
- Maintain reports covering customer visits, enquiries, quotations, orders, and sales activities.
- Professionally represent the company in the Oman construction and trading market.
